FAMILY MEET ON THE NEW YEAR'S DAY

A Family Meet was held on 1st Jan 2023, on New Year's Day at Jerusalem Retreat Center.

The family members of the priests of the St. Paul Province gathered in big numbers attended the Holy Mass and received blessings for the year 2023.  The New Year Holy Mass was held at 10.30 a.m. The main celebrant was Fr. Justin Akkara, Provincial, concelebrated by Fr. Sebi Edattukaran, Vicar Provincial, Frs. Justin Thekkudan, Sagar Bhavan Superior, Joby Pulikkan and Paul Manickathuparambil. Fr. Joby explained the Word of God. After the Holy Mass, Fr. Davis Pattathu spoke to the family members a few words of blessing.

The lunch was served at 1.00 p.m. and after the lunch, all gathered for a sharing session. It was intended mainly to introduce the family members of our Fathers and to hear their views on our mission. After introducing them, we offered a small gift to each family for being with us on this day. They appreciated the whole programme. They thanked the St. Paul Province for the consideration given to them to be a part of the CMI koinonia. An entertaining Quiz Programme was conducted by Frs. Anto Kanjirathingal and Joby Pulikkan. Gifts were given to those participants who excelled in the knowledge of CMI Congregation. At 3.30p.m. with tea and snacks, the whole programme was happily concluded. 

Special thanks are accorded to Fr. Provincial, Vicar Provincial, Councillors and the Fathers from the Province for being with the Sagar Bhavan community, in spite of their busy schedules and engagements on New Year's Day. We remember with gratitude Fr. Davis Pattathu and the whole team of the Jerusalem Retreat Centre for their wholehearted cooperation in efficiently conducting this Family Meet Programme by the Sagar Bhavan Community, headed by Fr. Justin Thekkudan.
