‘Aanchal’ is the ‘Frontier Ministry Mission’ of CMI St. Paul Province, Bhopal, initiated in 2010 for rehabilitating Street/Slum/Railway Platform Children. ‘Aanchal’ aims at providing wings to the dreams to vulnerable children and their integral development. The major thrusts of the organization are to address various issues related to the street children, provide care and protection to the needy children, educate and empower the children and enable them to become self reliant. The ministry of Women and Child Development, Govt. of India, appointed Aanchal as Collaborative Agency in 2016, to run Railway Childline Bhopal and Childline Narsinghpur. Aanchal is collaborating with the Government and Non-Governmental Organisations and well wishers for the best interest of the children who are in need of care and protection and with juveniles who are in conflict with the law. We serve children in slum areas, manage Child Care Institutions in sensitive localities to address issues related to health, hygiene, shelter and education in view of accomplishing their decent social rehabilitation. Much accolades go to the crusaders of this challenging mission, Fr. Anil Pazhoppallil and Fr. John Shibu Pallipatt who have a penchant for this mission and who have played very significant roles in this noble and novel initiative of the Province and the pivotal contributions of Fr. Thomas Arackaparambil and Ms. Gabriela Bergau in building up the infrastructure for Aanchal at the present site, cannot go unnoticed.
