Chavara Dham, Budni

Chavara Dham, Budni, is the Inter-Province Novitiate established by St. Paul Province Bhopal for the formation of the novices of all the seven Mission Provinces of the CMI Congregation. The foundation stone of this novitiate house was blessed and laid by Rev. Fr. Kurian Kachappilly, the then Provincial in the presence of his Councillors, Fathers and Sisters on December 14, 2016. It was blessed by His Grace Most Rev. Dr. Leo Cornelio SVD, Archbishop of Bhopal on June 14, 2017 in the presence of Rev. Dr. Paul Achandy, the then Prior General of the CMI Congregation and the Provincials of all the CMI Mission Provinces. It is situated 70 km away from Bhopal, on the way to Hoshangabad. The old novitiate ‘Anudhavana’ at Mancherial, was shifted to this new site with the specific objective of imparting novitiate formation in the very context of the mission.
