Chavara Nivas, Chandametta

In order to provide quality education for the local public, under the leadership of Fr. Anto Karokaran, our Province began an English Medium school in a suitable and attractive place at Chandametta. The plot is nearly 25 acres which lies in the lap of surrounding hills. A road which is 600 ft long and 20 ft wide connects our school campus to the State Highway. The foundation stone of Sant Chavara National Academy was blessed and laid by late Fr. George Thanchan, the then Provincial. The school building was inaugurated by Mr. Tarachand Bawaria, MLA of Parasia on July 1, 2007. The core staff consisted of three JMJ Sisters from Hyderabad. Sant Chavara National Academy got affiliated to CBSE Delhi in 2015 and got upgraded to Senior Secondary level in 2019. The contract with JMJ Sisters was over in 2014. Now we have the blessed presence of St. Martha Sisters in bolstering our education mission. The school has a strength of 1300 students and 60 staff members at present.
