Fr. Joseph Pariyadan pioneered the Sanjeevani Mission Station at Oosree in 1992. From the inception of Sanjeevani there have been interventions aiming to upgrade the living standards of the rural tribal population. In 2002, as Sanjeevani completed 10 years of its service in rural villages, an evaluation was conducted with various stakeholders. In this evaluation the need for a Rural English Medium school for the underprivileged tribal children was very much felt. In the year 2005 August, Sanjeevani Vidyapeeth was started under the leadership of Fr. Paulson Muthipeedika and Fr. Davis Elanjikal. Presently Sanjeevani Vidyapeeth Oosree, has the strength of 614 students reading from nursery to class X and 22 teaching staff members. The centre continues its attempt to empower the village communities by strengthening youth core groups in the villages. It also takes care of the pastoral needs of the catholic community of 55 members. It also tries to spread the message of Jesus Christ through house visits, healing prayers and prayer services in the villages.
