Agragami Ashram, Surlakhapa

Agragami Catholic Ashram, Surlakhapa was started in 1978 by the initiative of the Archdiocese of Nagpur to spread the message of Jesus Christ in the remote villages, in three Development Blocks of Chhindwara district in MP. CMI St. Paul Province Bhopal was entrusted with the task of realizing this mission on 24 June, 2006 in six Development Blocks close to Surlakhapa, in Chhindwara district. After taking up the special mission at Surlakhapa, the focus was on two areas of apostolate i.e., Priority to pastoral care of the faithful scattered in the rural remote villages and Community Based Empowerment and Rehabilitation of the persons with disabilities in the area. Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities through income generation programmes, Skill Development, Educational Programmes, Identification, Diagnosis, Treatment, Surgery for persons suffering from serious terminal diseases such as cancer etc. are provided from the centre.
