Bishop Clemens Nivas, Kundali

A school named "Seva Sadan Academy of Excellence was started by RDSS Seva Sadan Bamhori branch under the leadership of Rev. Fr. Joseph Kannanaickal, in the year 2004. It was housed in Seva Sadan Boarding till the 4th class. During this time RDSS found it difficult to find a proper land for the school because of the financial constraints. So our Province intervened in it and offered our timely help. The Province decided to start a school in Bamhori and RDSS agreed to our proposal and we purchased 7½ acres of land by Batera- Silwani road in Kundali village in 2007.
The foundation stone for the new school was laid and blessed by the then Provincial Rev. Fr. George Thanchan on November 17, 2007. The construction was initiated by Fr. Varghese Manickathan and under his guidance and strenuous efforts the first floor of the school building was completed. It was blessed by Rt. Rev. Dr. Anthony Chirayath the then Bishop of Sagar, in the presence of Rev. Provincial, Fr. Jose Paul Eduthan on December 13, 2008. The school was shifted to the new building and renamed it as “Bishop Clemens School of Excellence” on the happy memories of late Bishop Clemens Thottungal, the first Bishop of the Diocese of Sagar.
The foundation stone of Bishop Clemens Nivas was blessed by Rev. Fr. Kurian Kachappilly, the then Provincial on June 4, 2014. The Bishop Clemens Nivas and St. Chavara Chapel were blessed by Rt. Rev. Dr. Anthony Chirayath, during the tenure of Rev. Fr. Kurian Kachappilly , on June 29, 2015.
The school got recognition up to the 10th class (high school) in the year 2014 and it was upgraded to higher secondary school in the year 2015 with Science, Arts and Commerce streams. We have now around 1000 students. We take care of the quasi-parish at Seva Sadan, Bamhori and the spiritual needs of the small Christian community. St. Martha Sisters render their valuable services in both the school and the parish.
Bishop Clemens Study Centre was established in Bishop Clemens Nivas, Bamhori, in 2018 and the aspirants who were residing at CMI Bhavan, Padariya, and were doing their plus two studies at St. Paul Co-Ed School, Bhopal, were shifted to here.
