CMI House, Boleng

The Province purchased a plot of land at Boleng in 2017, the Headquarters of Boleng district in Arunachal Pradesh in view of a small Catholic Community there and as it is about half the way to Tuting from Pasighat in the plains.

In August 2019, Fr. Martin Kallelly started residing in a rented house there. He also started the construction of a residence at a plot of land we had purchased earlier. The church in Boleng is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. It has about 20 families in Boleng Town. Boleng Church was erected as a parish with Fr. Martin Kallely as the first parish priest and Fr. Paulson Muthipeedika as the assistant parish priest on February 13, 2021. Earlier Fathers from Yingkong and Alo used to come for Holy Mass for the Catholic Community at Boleng and Riga villages.

The newly built CMI House at Boleng was blessed by Rt. Rev. Dr. Thomas Kattrukudiyil, the Bishop of Itanagar and was inaugurated by Fr. Justin Akkara, the Provincial on February 13, 2021.
