Memorial Day
“I am the resurrection and the life”
A Memorial Day of the deceased Fathers of our Province was commemorated on 17th November 2022. The family members of our Fathers were invited for a Solemn Requiem Mass at 10.30 a.m. The main celebrant was Fr. Justin Akkara, Provincial, and the concelebrants Fr. Justin Thekkudan, Superior, and Fr. Josanto.
Fr. Justin Thekkudan welcomed the whole assembly before beg×inning the Holy Mass. Fr. Josanto spoke explaining the Word of God. He mentioned about the gift of God given through each our deceased Fathers to the CMI Congregation and highlighted each one's contribution to the mission of the Church. After the Holy Mass, the families went to the graves of their late family member and prayed the Office for the Dead.
The families appreciated the Memorial Day programme because it gave them the fe×eling that they too belonged to the CMI family. This Memorial Day will be observed in every three years. The family members of almost all the Fathers participated in the Memorial Day. Let us acknowledge and appreciate the initiative of Fr. Justin Thekkudan and the members of the Sagar Bhavan along with Fr. Justin Akkara, Provincial and his team.
